Regional Competitions

Each year after the six week long build season, FIRST teams from all over the world travel to competitions. At these competitions, we are able to meet different teams, see our robot compete, and gain a unique experience. One of the biggest things emphasized at these events is Gracious Professionalism. Gracious Professionalism, as described by FIRST co-founder Woodie Flowers, encourages intense competition while treating competitors with kindness and respect. FRC Regionals build strong relationships and empathetic innovators. We are thrilled to be competing at three regionals during the 2024 season.

Ventura County

Ventura County

Our first regional competition of the 2024 season was the Ventura County Regional. As our first competition, we had a lot of new experiences with our new robot, Cadence. We got picked for the third alliance and finished third overall in playoffs. Our alliance partners were teams 687 The Nerd Herd and 3749 Team Optix. We are very proud of our team and happy to have received the regional Imagery Award.

Idaho

Idaho

Our second regional was the Idaho Regional, a Week 4 competition. After the practice during the break between competitions, we came to Idaho ready to show what Cadence could do. We ended up being the alliance captain of Alliance 6, making it all the way to semifinals with our partners 5461 VERN and 9114 Rotationaries. This was the first time since 2018 that we were an alliance captain during a regional. We also won the Imagery Award for the second time this season, something that hasn’t happened to our team since 2009. We are very proud of our hard work and incredible payoff during this regional and can’t wait to see how far we can go during our next competition!

Aerospace Valley

Aerospace Valley

Our last regional is the Aerospace Valley Regional, during Week 6. It will be taking place April 3rd to 6th at 3200 E Ave J 8 Lancaster, CA USA. We love having a regional so close to home and being able to welcome teams from all over the world to our valley.
